Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction
1.1 These terms and conditions govern the provision of dental laboratory services by Digital Prosthetics (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Laboratory’) to its clients.
1.2 By engaging the services of the Laboratory, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, please refrain from using the services of the Laboratory.
1.3 The terms and conditions outlined herein apply to all services provided by the Laboratory, unless otherwise stated in a separate agreement between the client and the Laboratory.
1.4 The client acknowledges that these terms and conditions may be subject to change, and it is the client's responsibility to review them periodically for any updates or modifications.
1.5 By using the services of the Laboratory, the client agrees to comply with these terms and conditions in their entirety.
2. Services Provided
2.1 The Laboratory offers a range of dental laboratory services, including but not limited to crowns, bridges, dentures, implant prostheses, treatment planning support and orthodontic appliances.
2.2 The client must provide accurate and detailed prescriptions for the requested work, including scans, shade instructions, photographs and any other information pertinent to the case. This information must be delivered in a timely manner; turnaround times begin from receipt of all relevant materials and instructions.
2.3 The Laboratory will make every effort to complete the work in a timely manner, but the client acknowledges that certain factors, such as material availability and complexity of work, may affect turnaround times.
3. Payment Terms
3.1 Payment for services rendered by the Laboratory is due 30 days from receipt of the invoice/statement unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
3.2 The client is responsible for all costs associated with shipping and handling of the laboratory work, including any insurance or shipping fees.
3.3 Although every effort will be made to ensure that jobs are received by the client on the given due date, the Laboratory cannot be held responsible for jobs that are delayed, lost or damaged during transit. All jobs are sent using Royal Mail’s ‘Special Delivery’ Service and tracking numbers are available on request.
3.4 In the event of late payment, the Laboratory reserves the right to withhold delivery of the completed work until payment is received in full.
3.5 The client acknowledges that prices may be subject to change without notice, and it is the client's responsibility to review them periodically for any updates or modifications.
4. Remakes and Refunds
4.1 If the laboratory work is found to be defective or incorrect, the client must notify the Laboratory within 7 days of receipt to request a remake or refund.
4.2 The Laboratory will assess the reason for the request and may require the return of the original work for evaluation before proceeding with a remake or refund. If the original item is not returned, the Laboratory reserves the right to refuse a remake or refund.
4.3 Refunds will be issued at the discretion of the Laboratory management, taking into consideration the nature of the issue and the client's cooperation in resolving the matter.
4.4 If the client has been warned of an issue with a job they will be given the opportunity rescan/resend the case. If despite this the client decides to proceed with the case, they will bear the cost of any remakes/ammendments.
5. Confidentiality
5.1 The client's patient information and any details regarding the work provided by the Laboratory will be kept confidential and will not be disclosed to any third parties without the client's consent.
5.2 The Laboratory will take all necessary precautions to ensure the security and confidentiality of the client's information, including data encryption and secure storage practices.
6. Treatment Planning
6.1 The Laboratory may assist in treatment planning including the planning of implant placements. The client bears full responsibility for the placement of implants and the provision of work, including implant placement using a guide. Digital Prosthetics accepts no responsibility for any adverse effects or outcomes borne from following treatment planning support. Clients must check treatment and implant planning carefully with their mentors prior to delivery of dental work.
